Well...Do they? Were we intended to be good at all things? Were we designed to be? If we were designed to be good at all things, then why aren't we? Why do we tend to gravitate in a certain direction, if given the choice? Why do we have natural passions and interests that seem to coincide with our natural skills?

I don't think so. I would like to suggest that emotions just are. They are part of our world, our lives. We would do well to accept them and to work with them, instead of fighting them and beating ourselves up because we feel them. Feeling things is oh so good - it causes us to engage, to learn and to see things differently.

"Trials are a proof of God's care." I had that instilled in me at a young age. I hated it. I thought if God cared so much, why the blazes would he make me go through trials?? It made no sense to me. Of course I understand it a little more as an adult, but I have my own spin on it now. It gives us faith in ourselves.

So everything doesn't always turn out as we expect...does it mean we quit, give up and go home? Absolutely not. If it's the right thing, and it's you...then persevere. It is most definitely meant to be.

Question for ya...how do you gain permanent happiness when the circumstances of your life make you happy, sad, frustrated, joyful, peaceful, resentful, etc., ect.?? How do you gain stability in your emotions when your life is everything BUT stable?!

Do you ever wonder if there is more to you than your life is currently showing? Do you feel as if the gap between where you are and where you could be is so far that to even take a step is pointless? Then I want you to answer these questions...Do you think it's really possible that you could be here by mistake? If not, then do you concede that you might have a reason for being here?

Why is it so hard for us to take care of ourselves when we are so good at taking care of others?! I think a big part of the reason is that we are taught to make others the priority, not ourselves. What does this cause?

Simply Courage. What does it take to have it? Proof from your experiences that you have always been taken care of, and even in the times that it seems you haven't been, you've gained good ground, good insight, good self-knowledge that was essential to carry on. Inspiration from your daily walk and conversation - look for it. Where does life inspire you? Find it, seek it out and live there.
